Rochdale at work

In 2021-22, Rochdale Town Hall ran a photography project asking local people to submit photos that captured Rochdale at Work.

The project was inspired by the ceiling panels in the Small Exchange (the room next to this entrance) which depict Rochdalians at work in the early 1870s.

The jobs that people do today are very different than they were in the Victorian era, but some similarities remain.
