Making of the artwork

This contemporary glass artwork has been made by artist Louise Watson. Louise took inspiration from designs created by local people with the artist collective, Beggars Belief.

Participants from Lamet Habayeb, Veterans in Communities, Caldershaw Primary School and St Peter’s R.C. Primary School created work inspired by their own journeys. The final piece was partly inspired by objects associated with participants own personal journeys in their lives. Journeys which, for some, have seen them travelling thousands of miles before making Rochdale their home.
